About the Poem

The first of our ridiculous rhymes mixes cats and physics into a mind bending mish mash of possibilities. The only slight surprise is that Schrödinger's cat didn't get sucked into all this madness and mayhem.

A Notional Motion

Toast always lands butter side down
It’s a rule of locomotion
And a cat always lands on its feet
Now here is a curious notion
If you tie the toast to the cat
Would that result in perpetual motion?
