Clunk Click

Clunk click every trip
Is the advice of the boffins
Because your seat belt is never
As confining as your coffin

About the Poem

It may surprise you to learn that in the past you didn't have to wear a seat belt in cars. Indeed most cars weren't even fitted with seat belts. When the government made it compulsory to wear a seat belt, they ran a jaunty little advertising campaign which had the slogan 'Clunk Click, Every Trip'.
